EAZIX: More testing, and configurations
I'm so addicted to work that i almost didn't noticed the waxing of the moon,it's first quarter today, more than a week after the last new moon.
Verified and installed the new kernel for Montavista, which was compiled
overnight.
Tested NFS transfer with client (test machine) running MVL, and server
(laptop) running RH. – RH server showed some errors
After verifying that the net driver is configured with 100mbps full-duplex,
I got help configuring the ftp server on Montavista. (to test ftp transfer
with the laptop running Windows)
Downloaded and installed BulletProof FTP Server (for Windows).
Coded a script that traces if there’s any network activity. It runs “date”
and “ifconfig” when the network activity starts, then again, when it stops.
Tested again, and found out that the average transfer rate is 10mbps... this
is caused by the cable, which was made for 10mbps full-duplex only.
I made another cable for 100mbps full-duplex.
